NEW PATIENTS

New patients over the age of 5 are invited for a Health Check soon after registering with a doctor.

PATIENT 'MOTs'

Patients can make an appointment for a ‘MOT’ with the practice nurse. This involves blood pressure, height and weight, noting family history, assessing diet and exercise etc.

CERVICAL SMEAR TESTS

It is recommended that women undergo cervical smear testing every:

• 3 years from age 25-49
• 5 years from age 50-65

MAMMOGRAMS

Mammograms are recommended to all women from the age of 50 to 65. It is a 3 year recall screening programme facilitated by the health authority.
